Online teaching asks you to hold a lot at once. You may be moving through slides, watching participant video, keeping an eye on a scrolling chat, or running a livestreaming setup, all while trying to lead a coherent lesson. Independent educators rarely have someone behind the scenes to manage those moving parts.

Greenhouse is built with online teaching in mind, but the same challenge appears in any live session with a large audience: hearing from people without losing the thread of what you are there to do.
